Our Projects

In 2024, we decided to introduce a regular project to be made by any member who wished. All participating members are part of a WhatsApp group and share their progress and experience. A project can be anything, either a specific design, or a loose specification.

As of May 2024, we are on our second project.

Project 1 - Cricket Table

This project was to make a Cricket Table to a specific plan from Derek Jones' book Cricket Tables. Derek kindly allowed us to share the plan with participants. Pictures to follow.

Project 2 - A Box

After and inspiring talk by Paul Swan, boxmaker, our second project is to make a box. There is no specific plan, but Paul has given us this specification:

• Sides in proportion 3:2:1
• Hinged of lift-off lid
• Two different woods
